I found great comfort in reading Alice's story about her rape as a college freshman. There are lines that stand out to me - things I thought, things I did. It made me feel normal and gives me hope; I would recommend this book to victims who want to identify with someone and their families and friends who may want to better understand the situation.

Is this by the same woman that wrote Lovely Bones? That is also a great book, it is a must read and relates to rape and brutilization and is hard to explain the story but she's in heaven.

I loved lovely bones as well and although i liked Lucky and am really glad that she wrote its very brutal what happens which made it hard for me to relate to and there was something about the ending (can't remember what) that made me wonder if she has really gotten over this as much as she would have us believe. Still worth a read though but definately triggering
