I don't want to feel like I have a label on my forehead anymore. It totally does help to tell someone you're close with, but argh!!!
If you experienced it you know it. The person's tone and facial expression changes. This usually happens when they figure out you're uncomfortable. It makes me feel like I'm a sob story to them. I hate that. I don't know, maybe I'm alone with wanting to either smack that look off their face or retreat and rewind from them knowing. I hate the look and the tone change. That's the bottom line. Yeah, I know what you mean. I only told one relative (male), and I regret it because he blamed me for the whole thing. And now when he sees me or talks to me, he's always nice, but I know that that's what he's thinking about. I hate it. I wish I could rewind & take it back too.

I completely love my fiance... but he tends to do the same. I would rather him just hold me then talk about it.... but because of that tone change everyone seems to have, I particularly like my councelors...they dont seem to have that pity in their voice.

i hate it too... but i get pissed off when me and my family have fall outs and they throw it in my face! cuz they cant handle the fact that they know im the way i am now (quiet, independant etc) becuz they didnt protect me and look after me properly so i learnt to keep things to myself and make my own desicsions about stuff and live my own life.
