Rape Support Group

I wish I could say that was how I reacted, I just am numb to it. I watch it and it really doesn't do anything to me one way or the other. I almost think that it is worse the way I react, cause I don't react at all.

I have a problem when people make comments about rape.. like jokingly.. or make comments about being depressed/emo/suicidal.. when they aren't .. it makes me mad sometimes but most of the time it makes me upset or cry... rape scenes in movies doesn't rly bother me that much.. but then again I don't think I've seen very many of them lately..

what helps? I don't watch movies alone. Whoever I watch them with has to have already watched the movie so they can tell me when to close my eyes or leave the room/theater. I hope this helps?

i have that prob. all the time... all the time... it is so hard... try picturing your favorite actress or actor when u get upset... hope this helps.. message me whenever

I cant watch TV, or go to the cinemas, if i take my daughter, i wait outside. It is not just rape, i have too many triggers some debilitating, some i manage really well. But i am getting better at recognising them.

It actually really bothers me when people in casual conversation say that they will "rape" someone. I know they are joking, but some people don't understand the magnitude of what they are saying and how aawful it is for the person who has been through it.

I do every time but now I wont continue watching a movie if they have scenes like that in them, or if i am round a friends house i just walk out the room, i cant understand how people can watch that kind of thing even if they haven't been attacked. When i was searching on the internet for this site i went on one site saying it offered these kind of services and it just had a long list of 'rape porn' now that really is sick and should be banned!

To be honest the way i deal with that kind of situation is get myself out of it, either by switching it off or leaving the room, sorry i cant be of more help.
