Hi My name is tina
I am new on this site and was diagnosed in March 09 with UIP/IPF I am a 45 yr old single mother. My dlco started at 71% in Feb, then 50% in May , then 61% in July and now it is at 44%. I am so confused on what this means if anything? Does this mean the disease is progressing fast? My doc wont answer that one. But my fev1 is at 79% and tlc is 80% and at pulm rehab my heart rate will go up to 150 but my 02 is at 99%. So it seems like I am ok. My head is spinning. What does all of this mean? Thanks tina Posted on 09/21/09, 04:09 pm |

I am the same way all the information but the docs don't explain alot to people. I just took my breathing test and my DLCO was 23% I haven't been back to the doctor yet I just went by and got a copy of my test so I could campare it to my last one. Like I said I don't know what the 23% means but I know its not good
