Mike seems to have lost ground :( Since last Thursday he has just wanted to be in bed for most of the day.
I cant begin to tell you how unlike him this is...I have never known him to want to stay in bed even when he has been in really bad pain with the Rheumatoid Arthritis. I'm scared this is the beginning of the end time for him....and it's all happening too fast. He is so tired...and he has lost the energy to play music or use his music box....all new things that he waited years to get. I feel so sad....and yet it feels unreal too. Of course you're frightened. This is a normal reaction for someone in your circumstance. I read an excellent article on THE BRITTISH LUNG FOUNDATION web site. Coping with the Final States of Chronic Lung Disease. This may help you feel less frightened. Perhaps your husband needs a couple days in bed to rest up from having to "struggle" through another day. Hopefully, he'll be up and about soon.

I know how you feel. My husband has been in ICU for 3 days, can't breathe on his own and I want him to pursue a lung transplant at Duke. BUT I can't even figure out HOW to get him there because regular oxygen tanks do not work. This disease is really getting ME down and I feel so bad for him.
