My husband's Cat scan revieled "honeycombed lungs". His biopsy also states "end stage lung disease". He was recently diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Does this mean the end is near? I'm sad all the time. I don't know where to turn.

" Hi again, I sent you a message and got a notice that you'd sent one to me ? but there was only my message to you on it !--------to answer your query though, it sounds very like my husband. Did they say how much of the lungs were "honeycombed" ? Mike has now over 2/3rds in his right lung and 1/3rd his left.
I will send you my email so you can write if you want to. "

" "End stage lung disease" doesn't sound very promising. However, you might feel less anxious if you ask your doctor to define this terminology. When I went to the ER and had not het been diagnosed with PF as yet, the doctor said, "Your lungs are a mess." I asked him to define this! After I was diagnosed, my doctor said I had 50 percent good lung left. I think it's important to press for answers that will make our condition clear to us.

Good luck and a hug to you. "

" ellenb2, I'm so sorry about your husband. My husband also has end stage pf. We are making application for a lung transplant, and I suggest you do the same. It is the only hope. Start now, because it is a process. I wish you the best. "
