Hi,
I am 2 weeks out from discharge from the hospital from mulitple pe's in my lungs and dvt in left leg. I was diagnosed on June 4. Spents 5 days in the hospital with no known diagnosis. Doctors are baffled as I have no known causes for the pe's, so therefore I am very frustrated. All the testing they did came back negative. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I don't see the pulmonogist till July 6. I am still very tired and and sob. They are still trying to get my inr regulated and not doing a very good job at it in my opinion. I have a lot of chest pain also. Any help or suggestions anyone can give would be helpful.
thanks for listening,
Dawn

" Hello there Dawn,
I am 4 months post PE, (it is or was in the lower part of my right lung and big), and it took 3 months for my levels to become "theraputic". I also still have some pain at the site of where the PE was or is and when I'm trying to talk to someone I often have to stop and catch my breath. Weird! Anyways I hope this helps. Keep you're chin up! You're not alone in this. "

" i got mine from birth control pills. i ended up in the hospital at the end of august beginning of september. i was but on some medication - coumadin to get my blood levels normal and for chest pain the doctors gave me something. u might want to see a doctor for any pain right away. also take it very slow. don't do too much and over exert yourself. i was going to get a book on pulmonary embolism. i plan to eventually and do some research on it in order to0 cope with it better.

get well. "
