Hi everyone :)
What a weekend! Friday night our A/C went out and we finally got it fixed and it started working last night. Not fun in 100 degree weather! Just thankful that we got it back on :) Well, last night, I got some dizziness and also, today for most of the day. There are days that I will feel great and then all of a sudden, I get dizzy. Does anyone else get this from time to time? I also suffer from anxiety, so I don't know if that is from it or not. Should I be concerned? Hope everyone had a great weekend! Funny you should mention it, GBF, I'm having the same issues. AC went out a few weeks ago, but it hasn't been bad until yesterday. I feel the the "Black Hole Sun" video (showin my age). I've had problems with minor dizziness all day, and I usually don't have issues with it. Only every once in a great while. And it hasn't been very bad, just a little "weebley" like when I change the angle of my head I have a second of disorientation. I took my daughter to the mall to get a way cool backpack and made her let me hold her hand just so I could feel a little more stable. I was a little nervous around the crowd, only because I was afraid one of them would bump into me, but I wouldn't call it real anxiety.
I don't know if it is concerning or not. I'm feeling a bunch of pressure in my ears, maybe that's got my equilibrium off. It's never lasted more than a day before, so I'm going to wait and see how I feel tomorrow. If nothing else fails, it makes driving more of an adventure! Hope you feel better, Bax -singing "weebles wobble but they don't fall down"

GBF...
So my vertigo is worse today, and when I feel crappy enough to go home from work, I'm crappy enough to bother my doc. I was expecting tips or advice. I got a new med! Holy cow another one. I swear I'm gonna glow in the dark... where's MM3? Anyway. His nurse called back and said there's nothing you can do for the dizziness on your own. He prescribed Antivert for me to use as needed. The insert said it's used for motion sickness and vertigo. I can take it three times a day if i need to, and I just took one, so we'll see. Funny: Insert says Uses: ... dizziness. Bottle says: may cause dizziness. What the???? So there you go, that's what Doc Bustion sez. Take it as you like. Bax

MM3 has returned and I can see you glowing from here Bax...Tee Hee Hee. Still suffering from vertigo myself girls. Not getting any better. Don't know why. Still taking valium and meclizine to try and control it...but, only helps for a couple of hours and then I have to take more. Call your doctor to get a prescription. Valium helps more than the meclizine for sure!

Mine has gotten to the point where I walk crooked down hallways and sometimes I just sort of tip over when I'm standing. Everyone at work keeps slipping me these Alcoholic Anonymous brochures. I also get pegged for "random" drug testing. It's not random if I get picked every time!!

I think for me it is just more of the same thing. When I was working before the layoff, sometimes I would go around the corner too quickly and had to walk down the hall feeling like I was all sideways. I always wondered if I look sideays like I felt but no one ever mentioned it. Reminded me of those old V8 commercials where they walk funny. Now I get dizzy pretty much every time I turn my head, so driving scares the crap out of me, Bax it certainly does make it an adventure!

I had dizziness for a few months that progressed into headaches before they found out that my shunt wasn't working. I would get dizzy when I layed down and also when I would stand up after sitting for a while. Also when I turned my head too quickly like when I was looking both ways before pulling out when i was driving. Sometimes the dizziness would last for 10 minutes before it resolved. After the headaches came back the dizziness went away. My NO said it was from the pressure being high. I guess it was just a little high and when it got higher the headaches started. My pressure was 33 when they found my shunt was malfunctioning.
