Hi, I have been holding off posting this until I was really sure that it had done some good for me. This stuff is driving me to distraction and I am determined to find something to ease it enough to be sane again. When I went to the doctor (which is it me or are all dermatolists cold hearted, in a rush, just not nice people) she prescribed two creams for me to be used in conjunction with each other. Vectical and Ultravate. I was supposed to apply both to all lesions 2 times a day for 2 weeks, which I did, nothing got any better. Then I was to apply just the Vectical 2 times a day Mon thru Friday and then just the Ultravate 2 times a day on Sat & Sun. (ok, so is your head spinning yet?) Then I was to use only the Vectical 2 times daily until the lesions are clear. OK, so this didn't work but I did notice that when I used just the Ultravate my lesions where less red, less scaly and less itching and flaky. In addition, the Vectical is the most incrediably greasy stuff I have ever encountered and I couldn't bear to use it one more time particulary because it was not doing any good and I was embrassed to go out because I had the shine of a 100 watt lightbulb. SO, I started using the Ultravate alone twice a day for 2 wks and Intense Skin Restoration Moisturizing Lotion from CVS. (only $7 dollars a bottle). I went out this weekend and did not have to wear a long sleeve blouse AND did not feel like the entire world was staring at me. My lesions are just about non visable now and you have to try real hard to see and feel them, with the exception of one rather large one I had on my elbow but even this one is skin tone now, not flaking and itching. Just to be sure this concoction was the reason for my improvement, I did not put it on one section of my leg to see if that too improved even without the meds just because it might be time for it to subside some. That area is still ugly (but can be hidden) so I am fairly sure these two creams are working for me and I will now start using it on that leg area also. Maybe this won't work for many of you, but hopefully it will help someone out there somewhere. I know if any of you are like me, I will try anything to get some relief from this monster. Hope this helps someone. Take care...God bless...
