I have had psoriasis for the past 2 years already and now i feel really good even though i still have psoriasis. 2 years ago i used to be a person with limited friends and a kind of person who used to be bullied most of the time. when i got to know i was suffering from psoriasis i was isolated for almost 6 months. but after sometime when the patches on my scalp and body were almost gone i started talking to everyone freely and was really friendly. i had finally realized how did it feel to be isolated. i treated everyone equally and due to which i made more friends. Now i'm glad i had psoriasis. i can understand those who suffer from diseases and how they feel and now they are my closest friends these days. I don't regret having psoriasis at all.
my advice to all my friends here is take psoriasis in a positive way and take no stress and keep your mind free cause i believe that psoriasis increases all over your body because of stress.

have a good life. :D

" Thank you Ranil for this inspiring post !
I also believe that stress is playing a big role in our condition, I think everyone has noticed the effect it can have on our daily fight against psoriasis.
Since I started to focus on trying to decrease as much as I can my daily stress level I have seen some (rather small) improvements and I stopped using cortisone and other aggressive treatments.
I started using 2 natural treatments and I joined a yoga course since last month but it's too early to tell how beneficial it will be.
Hope to read more of your inspirational post soon.
Maria, having a good life :) "

" I never had it or knew really what it ever was until early 2007 after my first pregnancy. It was barely a spot here or there so i didn't worry or think about, in the last year it has eaten my whole body alive! I'm at the point now that i want to isolate myself from the world. I quit my job and quite frankly i'm not sure if i wanna go out there for all too see, I feel like a freak. This has been a issue of mine for awhile but now it's getting worse everytime i step out the shower i find more and more spots showing up! Tried all the home remedies and otc junk and it's that junk maybe gives me temporary relief but that's it. This is honestly the most stupid autoimmune disease and i pray they find a cure for this i'm sick of it! Today i made the move of calling a free clinic nearby (that i didn't know existed) and i am setting up a appointment and when i told her what i need seen for she said they have dermatologists that come there to see you and all they ask is a 3 or 4 dollar donation with your prescriptions! This psoriasis can be beaten i'm not letting it win and i'm glad you got your confidence back, I will hopefully soon be doing the same;) "

" jessie you have a strong will power keep it up, am happy to hear you are not giving up. Psoriasis builds up on those who are not confident enough, and as far as i believe, psoriasis a lesson each of us get. we just have to find a way to beat it.... keep it up. :) "

" Ranil, I hope I'll get as much benefits as you're having from the yoga courses. No doubt it's already helping me sleep better and I'm on my way to find my "inner peace" :D
Jessie, how is it going with your local clinic ? you had your appointment yet ?
Also you could try to contact the national psoriasis foundation (www.psoriaisis.org), they might have local initiatives near you.
Wish you all the best !
Mariah "
