My boyfriend just found out he has Prostate Cancer on Friday, he is 51, and he wanted some feedback on men that have had surgery, and there thoughts on it, so if there is anyone that could let us know or what you thought about it, please do. Thank You....

" Before you jump into anything you need to research all your options and get second opinions. Luckily prostate cancer is very slow growing so you have time to look at the negatives of each treatment. What was his PSA and Gleason? Did You get a second reading of his pathology report? Part of the scoring is subjective. I had prostate cancer for 12 years without knowing it, that was almost 5 years ago. The good news is 70 percent of prostate cancer is curable.

" Most men that have surgery have ED problems and are impotent.
At your age I would look at other treatments.
