I had cryoablation plus lupon and Casodex because of my advanced cancer. The croablation left me incontenent. The lupron/Casodex caused my penis to srink to half the size so male external catheters don't stay on. Diapers don't work because of the volume of urine. ( I would have to change every hour). Anybody have a similar problem and what did you do to handle the situation? also as the Lupron wears off does your penis go back to it's normal size? How long does this take?

I am sorry to hear about your complications. I didn't have croablation so I can't comment on the side effects. As far as hormone treatment I had one 3 month lupron injection and due to nasty side effects never had another. Once the shot expires it takes anywhere from 30 to 90 days for your testosterone to start again, however 20 percent never begin producing testosterone. As far as the shrinkage, once the Lupron wears off the size returns. Personally I would never have any hormone therapy again. I have advanced prostate cancer and I treat it with alternative treatment today. It has been effective for 3 years.
