Hi Ian not new to ds but new to this board. My grandad is 82 and has had prostrate cancer for over 2 years and the last 3 weeks he's been in hospital for raised calcium levels. A bone scan revealed that he has mestasis in his pelvis and liver. I dont know what his gleason score is or how long he is expected to live because grandad doesn't want to ask any questions and neither does my nan. Grandad abdomen and feet are swollen and he already has a colosyomy due to removal of his colon not related to cancer. I guess my question is, do u think that now its in his liver hr may decline rapidly? Any suggestions on hoe we can make him more comfortable?,thank u in advance sara

" Hi Sara, my name is Jon. I too have PCa. 82 is pretty old. You indicate it has metastized. I would show him as much love as he can take. Tell him everything you need to get off your chest. It is getting late. Good luck, Jon joncorn38@yahoo.com anytime. "
