Gitte, after many hours of research, I came to the conclusion that the ADD/ADHD drug Strattera would be of benefit.

I convinced my doctor to let me try samples and it works like a charm.

Our condition scours Dopamine (and I believe Norepinephrine) in the limbic system of the brain and this causes a lot of fatigue, stifness, and body aches.

Norepinephrine plays a large role in pain reception in the brain and it's as though, with our tumors and the scouring of these Neurotransmitters in our brains...that our bodies are very sensitive to pain and changes in temperature.

Fatigue is just another form of pain. The Strattera will elevate your Norepinephrine levels and clear your mind and reduce your depression as a result.

I also use an Alpha-Stim device that works wonders for fatigue, pain, anxiety, and especially depression.

thanks for your suggestions. I have read about Strattera, and I would be afraid to take it, because of the long list of side effects. The list is so long, and it's also used for ADHD - I would never convince my doctor OR myself, that it would be good for me. If you also take Alpha-Stim, how do you know what works then?
Any of your other guys in here having any experiences with the product?

The Alpha-Stim is an electrical device that provides mild electrical pulses to the brain via the earlobes.

It's very soothing.

I realize there are some possible side effects with Strattera. The only three I've noticed are a lack of sleep the first night, dry mouth, and mild constipation.

Beyond that, it's been wonderful.

Strattera was originally designed as an antidepressant by it's maker...Eli Lilly.

I have been on Wellbutrin for several years after trying everything from Adderal to Zoloft. Adderal is another stimulant based ADD drug. It helped, but nearly doubled my blood pressure. The Wellbutrin has helped and seems to have no perceptible side effects. Attempting to go off it definitely made things worse. Before you start taking antidpressants, ask for a thyroid hormone level test if your doctor hasn't done that yet. No sense taking an antidepressant to solve a common physiological effect of the prolactinoma.

I've been on Remeron 15mg and Dostinex at the same time. There was no interaction but my god the Remeron causes serious weight gain--I did not have a weight problem b4 remeron and now I do. I got off Remeron after three years and my weight has stabilized and I've managed to drop a few pounds but not all of the 25 pounds I gained. With the dostinex I took it for ten years and then stopped it abrubtly on the Dr.'s direction. Don't ever do this, I swear it was hell on earth. After several months I slid into a deep, dark depression riddled with anxiety. No sleep for four months and I mean not even one hour a night--i don't even remember a certain time period in my life. I had to go to the U of M sleep clinic to learn how to fall asleep again. Like I said, Hell on earth. Please anyone on dostinex for a looong time, make sure your doctor gradually reduces the dose. The U of M said I went into major dopamine crash and it is ugly! It's taken my nearly five years to fully recover--but the good news is I did recover and now I take bromocriptine 1/2 tab every day.

Thanks for your reply. I have never heard of that it's not okay to stop abruptly with Dostinex. Why did you stop and swithc over to Bromocriptinne?
I have also gained weight on Remeron, around 10 kg, but I think it helps me.
Last week I startet up with Cabergolin again after 1 years experimenting with Norprolac. I started on 12,5 mg, I will slowly start. I'll take 25 mg once a week, and maybe I will take 0.5 mg once a week. I expecience fatigue, do not know if it's due to the remeron og the cabergolin, og the H1N1 - flu, which I've just had.
