Hello
I have now been on Norprolac - Quinagolide for half a year. Before I was on Dostinex. My endo now wants me to stop, because Norprolac doesn't work. My levels are around 1000. (on 150 mg Norprolac around 750 and on Dostinex around 500).
My prolactinoma is around 5 mm
What can I expect?
I think that I get a lot symptoms on medication? But will it be worse without? I have been off meds before, but my levels didn't raise untill more than 1500. My endo says, that I shall react if I get severe headache and vision disturbances, and he says that I shall have a bone scan in half a year.
My periods has stopped.
I'm trying hypericum to cope with the fatigue and moodines that follows elevated prolactin. Any of you have any experiences?
Is it probable to get estrogen in a natural way?
Lots of greetings Gitte

" I have taken only parlodel /bromocriptin since pituitary surgery in 1978....

About a year ago, I was given the green light to stop taking parlodel, even though my tumor returned...

it depends on your body, tumor and endocrinologist on what you will be prescribed and dosage.

Take care "

" Since I have not been on parlodel, I really don't feel any different..
I have too many other meds to deal with to associate the lack of parlodel as a problem.

I am more concerned with heart issues than my tumor. "
