i was diagnosed with a prolactinoma 7 years ago.I was taking parladol for 4 years and prolactin levels retuned to normal.I have been off meds for 3 years now but my last visit to endo my levels had risen to over 2000,as i was still getting a period he did not put me back on meds,my problem is i am so tired all the time,my memory is terrible i am only 38 yrs old but feel like an old woman. My endo checked my thyroid but levels are normal,he said there is no connection with tiredness and prolactinoma, but after reading discussions on this site it seems many people feel the same as me,I feel like im going crazy nobody understands this horrible tiredness and there doesnt seem to be any help avaible.

Exhaustion seems to come with the territory of dealing with this. I too can have a full nights rest and wake up feeling absolutely drained. I was on bromo for 6 months but it didn't do anything but make me feel ill all the time. I have been on cabergoline now for 4 months, 1/2 a pill once a week, amd my levels have dropped right down to the normal range. I will mention though that along with that it has bottomed out my estrogen, literally. You should have them check your other levels to make sure they aren't being affected. I am waiting to see how they are going to treat the estrogen problem, as well for my follow up MRI to see if the tumor has diminished or not.

in regards to your tiredness upon waking...has anybody suggested a sleep study? I read somewhere that sleep apnea may be a result of prolactinoma. Before i was diagnosed with prolactinoma I complained to my doctor about feeling tired even after getting a full night's sleep. A sleep study showed that I had moderate apnea. now i sleep with a cpap machine. sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't.... which i am finding that every day is a new challenge when you have prolactinoma.

Vitamins may help some, but don't expect any miracle cures. Take care
