i was diagnosed with a prolactinoma 7 years ago.I was taking parladol for 4 years and prolactin levels retuned to normal.I have been off meds for 3 years now but my last visit to endo my levels had risen to over 2000,as i was still getting a period he did not put me back on meds,my problem is i am so tired all the time,my memory is terrible i am only 38 yrs old but feel like an old woman. My endo checked my thyroid but levels are normal,he said there is no connection with tiredness and prolactinoma, but after reading discussions on this site it seems many people feel the same as me,I feel like im going crazy nobody understands this horrible tiredness and there doesnt seem to be any help avaible.

" I have a 1cm macroprolactinoma and am on 0.5mg cabergoline twice weekly. I can relate to how you feel suzyridge. Although my prolactin level has dropped from 389 down to 70, I still feel terrible due to lost sleep. Most days I only get a couple hours sleep and even if I sleep through the night I never feel rested. Do you get good sleep or just feel tired though sleeping through the night? I'd also be interested in others experiences. I can also relate to the memory loss. I'm 52 and thought initially that it was just old age but it continues to worsen and the eyesight is deteriorating also. Is your endo resuming the medication? "

" hey pmtechquy, thanks for your reply,i get full nights sleep every night but still feel exhausted all the time,im not due back to endo until aug but he said he would put me on cabergoline instead of parladol,he doesnt seem to want to resume meds too soon.I think the memory loss is down to being so tired its hard to concentrate on things but why do endos insist it has nothing to do with prolactinoms when majorty of patients seem to suffer with it. " You're not alone! It's definitely normal to feel tired and weak. My prolactin level is in the 200's and I definitely lack energy and the smallest things can tire me out. Sadly, fatigue is a subjective symptom and some endos might not take it seriously... "

" I found a low dose of Strattera did wonders for the fatigue and tiredness. I take 40mg about twice a week. "
