My doctor has prescribed me cabergoline. I'm supposed to take 2 pills, twice a week. I took my first last night, a few hours before bed. I ate dinner with it, but by bedtime I was dizzy and nausea feeling. I don't have a better way to describe it, but it was kind of like I had drank one too many glasses of wine, and had the spins. This morning I got up, threw up, felt way too spin-y, laid back down, called my director and said I wouldn't be into work today. I'm a hair-colorist. There is no way standing up for the next 8 to 10 hours was happening. Has anyone else experienced these side effects?

OK,
1. start out taking 1/2 a pill for a week and slowly increase dose until you get up to 2 pills a week. 2. Do not take it until right before you are going to sleep. So when it first hits you, you are asleep. 3. Pick the nights to take the medication when you can get the most sleep. (At least a good 8 hours) I was a hair dresser when i first started cabergoline. So I took my medication on Saturday and Tuesday night because I was off on Sunday and Wednesday. 4. You do want to eat a little something with it but, a couple cracker will do. 5. Most people do feel a little fuzzy first thing in the morning when starting the medication. It should go away after about 6 months. Coffee in the morning helps me clear my head the best. Good Luck.
