Anyone else diagnosed with small microadenoma?

Hi =)
Last week I received MRI results confirming my high prolactin levels are a result of a very small microadenoma (0.23 cm). While browsing the topics on this great board I've noticed most growths mentioned are much larger. Was anyone else initially diagnosed with such a small growth? Also, I will be meeting with my primary in a little over a week to discuss the diagnosis with her and any questions you may advise me to ask would be greatly appreciated. =) Thanks so much, I'm so glad to have found this group. The size has mostly to do with how long you have been producing extra prolactine. Mine was 10mm and they thought I had had it for about 8 to 9 years before we found it.

My only advice is to see an endorcinologist and not just your primary doctor. That is the one mistake I made. Mine completely gave me the wrong diagnosis even though he said he was "comfortable" treating me.

I also had a microadenoma (my prolactin levels were in the 70s) and I'm going to an Endo bc they are more up to date on all the new meds/etc. Its not like your primary can't oversee your general health but I like to see a specialist who has seen this numerous times.

Thanks so much for the info guys =)
I'm meeting with my primary next week and will ask about endocronologist refferals. I was told that my tumor is very small but that my prolactin levels are in the 80's... I'm still not sure what that means though. =)

I was just diagnosed yesterday with having a 2mm micro-adenoma, my first bloodtest showed a level of 23 of prolactin (normal range is 0-20). Based on other posts, guess I am lucky that it was caught when it was? Second bloodtest produced showed level of 18 which was normal. I will have to look at seeing an endorcinologist as well. Thanks for advice.
