Provera

I was just prescribed medroxyprogesterone, which I believe is the same thing as provera, since I haven't gotten my menstrual cycle back yet. (It's been a little over 6 months) Has anyone else taken this? What have your results been? Specifically how long after you finished the 10 pills did it work? My gyno says that if it doesn't produce a bleed I don't have enough estrogen and she wants to put me on BC for a few months which I really want to avoid. WOuld love to hear others experiences with this. Thanks!
