Suboxone question

Hi friends,
For those of you on Suboxone or who have been on it I'm wondering if, as you slowly taper down, did you find yourself completely exhausted, sleeping or wanting to sleep all of the time, slight depression, aching and hurting legs, etc.
It sounds like w/d symptoms but I'm going so slow and the biggest thing is being tired ALL of the TIME. I can hardly stay awake at work, I go straight to bed around 7pm and can say it is like hell to drag myself out of bed and move so slowly, along with the leg pains....I just don't know if something more physical is going on like MS or fibromyalgia or just side effects to w/d from suboxone. I've been on 16 mg for a full 3.5 months and then down to 8mg for at least 3 weeks and now from 4-6mg daily....it's like someone has grabbed all of the energy from my insides and my brain and ran off with it all! I want it back!

" I have been on Suboxone for a few years now and I give you a lot of credit for weaning off of it. It is hard for me and I will be on it for a long time to come. I have been on 24 mgs for 2 years then the doc took me down to 16 the past year. It sounds like you are going thru a bit of withdrawal. The leg pain and depression sounds like it to me. Is this the weaning schedule your doctor gave you? Or are you doing it yourself. You may have dropped the dose too quick. I would def talk to your doc and see what he thinks you should do. Good luck to you. :) "

" You are definitely weaning off the suboxone much too fast. It needs to be much more gradual. The depression and leg problems may be symptoms of withdrawal but you may have that for some time to come so ur dr will have to adjust your depression medication and give u something for the restless legs. Wellbutrin worked good for my energy level. Requip may help the legs.

Hugless my heart goes out to you. You will have trouble weaning off suboxone having been on it for so long.

God Bless and TC! "

" Bob,
I'm already on Wellbutrin and some other drugs for depression, bi-polar, panic disorder, etc. Perhaps the combination with the Suboxone is what is part of it. I think you are right about weaning off too fast, and yes, I am doing it myself. It will be just 6 months on the 23rd of Nov. that I've been on the Sub. I wanted to be off by then but my doc says we'll talk about it at 6 months so I'm trying myself....maybe not such a good idea. I wonder, if I go back up to 16mg, just to see if my tiredness and leg pain goes away? What do you think?

" I didn't read through everything. Yes you are on wellbutrin. Your dr may have to increase the dose. The lower dose never helped me either.

Please Zen listen to ur dr. He will know when it is time for you to wean off the suboxone.

God Bless ya my friend! "
