Hello all! My husband and I are happy to have found this site. We are hoping for some encouragement.
We are both severely addicted to ultram and other narcotic pain medications. We are three days sober as of this morning. We live in an area renowned for prescription drug abuse, it's difficult to escape. Withdrawal stinks! Pain seems to be easing up for me a bit this morning, but my guts are rolling and haven't slept for a couple nights. Not sure how he's feeling yet, he managed to sleep a little last night so I'm going to let him rest as long as possible. We seem to be maintaining and functioning at a minimal level. thats great that you and your husband are going through this together! it will be so much better for both of you to have the other to lean on. i really hope that you both feel better soon! you can do it!

Congratulations to you both! It is very difficult to do this without help. A good place to find support is NA or AA. You don't have to say anything. Just sit in on a meeting and listen. You will be glad you went

Hi and welcome to the group! Glad you found this forum! You guys are amazing-- so cool that you both decided to stop the pills together.
I know that Kentucky has a huge problem with prescription drug abuse and to try to stop when it's all around you is difficult. But we're here for you if you need anything! I also encourage you both to go to an NA or AA meeting. It really helps to be with other people who are going through the same thing!

I have 43 days today.It's hell at first.But it gets real good.I really enjoy life now .you two have to get to meetings na/aa the people there will love to have you.Their waiting for new people all the time.With open arms!Once you see what i am talking about and get there.You guys life will chance for the better.Love you.
