" I never used it but I was just reading that it was approved for the treatment of alchoholism. It stops the cravings and if you drink while you are on it, You wont enjoy it.

I gues it's a pretty good drug. "

" Naltrexone has a lot of different side-effects. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this med and had success stopping their opiate cravings? It made me so sleepy I couldn't function. But today without the med I had cravings. "

" I haven't had any experience with Naltrexone but I have been on Methadone for a year and a half and it has helped me tremendously with opiate cravings and I haven't really had any side effects from it. Not to say that it will be that way for everyone. But if you're dead set on getting off of opiates as I was it can be very helpful. If you need someone to talk to let me know. "
