Prescription Drug Abuse Support Group

I'm prescribed adderall, and have been for a few years. When I first got it, I stashed it, handed it out, snorted it, ate more than I was supposed to, etc. (Basically everything they tell you not to do.) Recently, I have been using 2 10mg non-time release tablets a day, just like I am supposed to and find that it works better for me to concentrate if I take it regularly. However, I do know that it IS addictive, and that it IS the only drug that really bothers me if I have to go without. I'd love to talk sometime too.

hello it is 3:52 am and yes here i am . I have chronic fatigue immune disfunction syndrome. I some how every now and then stumble upon a pill. I love it. I however am leary about postin about it. I see that several others with this syndrome take it and it works for them.. I want to so badly ask my doctor to prescribe it for me but in our town it is a hot item and I am afraid they will think i am an abuser. I do like it to much. It actually works. I would like to have about 10mg a morning. Just to live. to clean to work to eat right. But the every now and agian 30 mg just helps me clean like crazy and stay up to long. I know it is my cure. I am just to scared to ask. Did you start because you were tierd or overweight? Or just think it is safer than street geek. At least it is not as toxic since they can give it to kids right? Well, I hope you read this. Let me know your thoughts.

I am not addicted anymore, but I used to be. For about a year or so, I would take 1 or 2 in the morning, and 1 in the afternoon at lunch. If you want to talk aobut anything, let me know! I have been there!

Adderall is the one drug that I really abused to the extreme. I used to take it because I found that it helped me in college and it was just wonderful. I haven't taken any for about a half a year now because it started to make me really nervous. It really messed up my mind and I know of a few other people that feels like their memory has been not as good or they feel not as smart as they used to be before taking the drug. I weened myself off of the drug and let me tell you, I had THE WORST withdrawal symptoms. I think Adderall is the worst drug you can take and I highly reccomend you find something else if you do have ADHD. If you are just taking it for fun, just know that it will bring on some harsh consequences. Just a warning because it totally messed up my life.

I've taken it before and I've done lots of drugs, but this was BY FAR the strongest. I don't take it but if I had it I would.

I have tried adderall, ritalin, focalin xr and concerta. i find if i don't take it i have no energy at all and i am scared of what will happen when i run out. they don't belong to me they were leftovers from someone who gave them to me because they didn't work for them. does everyone get real tired when they come off of them? I am trying to quit painkillers so it is one thing at a time. clean from painkillers, but that doesn't mean i wouldn't take one if offered to me. maybe someday i will get that far. good luck and write anytime.

I take it and camn understand why it is abused so much. I take it rx for narcolepsy, but it isnt strong enough to do much for log! I dont take very much, only 5mg am and 5mg pm. Does anyone here know anything about provigil? I take it for narcolepsy, and hear from peopl in my group that it is very abusable - yet I dont see the abuse attraction for provigil. as far as adderall is concerned - i dont abuse it because it I did I would run out fast and fall asleep driving and then be totallt screwed.

Provigil isn't supposed to be an "abusable" drug.

People who don't experience eds often feel no difference between having or not having taken provigil.

Cephalon, the company that made it has studies showing it's non-addictive as well (I believe) but the FDA made them change the classification due to the fact that the molecular structure is similar to other stimulants.

Lostnights I know you are right - I just have a couple friends who say they "are addicted to it" I dont feel any withdrawel when I stop provigil. I even wonder why they even scheduled it at all - I know the chemistry is similar - but if there is no physical addiction then why bother and put everyone to all that trouble? Adderal is addictive - but I actually do not addicted to it.
