Just curious to know what prescriptions you all abuse/have abused. I never thought I had a problem, but when I list the presciptions I have abused, it's quite evident I have a problem.

Ambien
Xanax
Ritalin (and many meds just like Ritalin)
Percocet

I'd go through a month's prescription of all of these within a week...everytime. Guess I'm lucky I am still alive. I came clean to my doctor, so these meds are no longer prescribed to me.

What meds have you all abused?

" I take xanax 1mg twice a day everyday regardless of wether I need it or not but thats what the bottle say's. I'm also prescribed ambien but I haven't been taking it lately. I stopped a while back but am probably going for one tonight. To be quite honest I think I may have a problem but I'm not sure because I havent really attempted to stop taking the xanax in about a year I did quite about a year an half ago for about 3 months or so. Right now the very thought of quiting makes me freak out on the inside and I feel like I need to take one. So to answer the question currently I guess I may abuse xanax and possibly ambien and possibly I'm in total denial...I don't know??? I'm confused?? "

" Welcome Danny. I sort of look at it this way..if you're questioning whether or not you have a problem than you may just have one...

Although having said that it does sound like you are taking it as prescribed... so does that mean yes you are dependent but no you're not abusing it...can those 2 things be separate?? I am not sure because for me they were not separate... Chances are you are physically, mentally and emotionally dependent on these drugs. I think its a problem if its causing problems.. of course different people may view this different ways.

To answer the initial question: Xanax, valium, klonopin, percocet, oxys, morphine, methadone, flexor, codene,ambien... etc etc etc...Some prescribed some not. For me personally benzo's were the most difficult for me to part with.. (still are) "

" I also had a similar drug list, and came clean to my Dr. Thing is he cut me off cold turkey which I thought was kind of dangerous since I had been taking these for yrs. Anyhow I made it through by buying off the street which by the way made things a hell of a lot worse. Now I'm in suboxone treatment only 2wks clean but feeling preety good "
