The Condom, Came Off Inside Of Me.

Hey everybody. I turned 15 today. My boyfriend and I were having sex, and the condom came off inside of me. I knew he "went"...but I kept going. Then we stopped for a minute and he pulled out. The condom wasn't on him. I started to panic, and we searched the bed everywhere, and then I thought to myself, "Is it inside me?" And surely enough it was. I don't know when it came off, but there was semen inside of it. I don't remember when I had my last period. I'm just worrying right now. My boyfriend keeps telling me everything is going to be okay. I just don't want to get pregnant. Is there a possibility that I could be?

" Well, depending on when you actually had sex, it might be too late.. but you should look into getting the Plan B pill. It can be purchased by anyone over 18 (male or female) at a pharmacy. They don't need a doctor's note or a reason, and it costs about $50.

If you take the pills then you will be able to prevent an unplanned pregnancy. There is a time limit for these pills to work, though.

You can also visit your local Planned Parenthood office. They are not supposed to give the Plan B pill to anyone under 18 without a prescription, but I've seen it done. I took my friend there last month and she got a Plan B pill specifically for people age 17 and under.

I hope that helps you.
Should you feel as if you are pregnant, then you will need to take a pregnancy test. Since you don't know when your last period was then it might be difficult to set a date to take the test. You should try and take the test about 14-21 days from now. If you get a negative result, but don't get your period in the week following, take another test. If you still get a negative result but have not had a period for 28 days, set up an appointment with Planned Parenthood for a pregnancy test. You can also call an OBGYN for a blood test to determine pregnancy.

My advice to you is to try and use an alternate form of contraception if you find out you aren't pregnant. Condoms are great for STD prevention, but they do fail at preventing pregnancy more often than other birth control methods. You don't need parental permission to get birth control pills, patches, shots, or IMPLANON. Talk to an OBGYN or a doctor at Planned Parenthood for more information about contraception. "
