First Ultrasound Soon...

We are 15w3d with our rainbow and we are having our FIRST ultrasound at 18 weeks. I am getting nervous but excited at the same time. I wish we would have had an ultrasound early, but we didn't. I don't know why all of a sudden I am so worried about things, but I am. I have heard the heartbeat with a doppler (at the doctors office) since 10 weeks. I guess I am afraid that I will hear the heartbeat at this next checkup, and then see no movement during my ultrasound. I know I shouldn't worry about it though and try to remain calm. Has anyone else gone through this worry. What did you do to remain calm??

Also, anyone feeling pelvic pressure in their 2nd tri?? I feel strange pressure if I sit funny, or move funny. Is this normal?! Obviously, I will bring it up to my doctor at my appointment, but just wondering if anyone else has experienced this!?

" Good luck at your ultrasound, I hope everything goes well! I have had ultrasounds every two weeks since 7 weeks, so eventually I got used to the anxiety and they didn't bother me so much. I felt relieved as soon as I saw the baby on the screen though :). I understand your feelings of being nervous though, I think we all fear the worst..
Try to relax and look forward to seeing your little one.

As far as pelvic pressure goes, yes, I have felt it in my second trimester. My baby was sitting really low just last week and I got pains from his head being down so low, and it also created a lot of pressure. The pressure was worse when I sat down. He moved back up this week though, so it is probably just the position of the baby. "

" wishing you all the best at your ultrasound!
we had our 1st u/s at 13w and i was so nervous i was shaking!
i didn't even look at the u/s screen until i heard the nurse say "there's your baby, and your babies heartbeat" :)
it can be a really nerve wracking time, but i tried to keep myself as positive as possible in the run up to the u/s
i still get days where i worry, but i guess the fear will always be something that'll stick with me
talking with other women on this site helped me so much!

i am now in my 17th week and have been feeling some pressure too, also some abdominal pains, nothing too painful, but i guess that's down to everything stretching etc!
wishing you lots of love & luck!
