Discussion:
Ondansetron (Zofran) for nausea

Hi Ladies,

I'm experiencing very bad nausea and I throw up twice a day so my RE prescribed me Ondansetron but try not to take it if you can handle it. It's so hard, I can't eat anything so I'm taking 2 a day.

Did any of you ladies took this medication? I'm just worried about my baby, that might effect but I red online that it's safe.

Thank you!

" Hey noal, I think it is perfectly safe. When we get patients with pregnancy related nausea/vomiting which is uncontrollable they take zofran - and my friend who just had twins took it through her entire first trimester. Hope you feel better! "

" It's a class B med so it's safe. Watch out for the constipation though! "

" OMG!!! I know, tell me aboout the constipation. Sorry...but haven't used the restroom for the past three days :( I was worried but then I realized maybe it's the meds that I'm taking so I was right. "
