Too many bathroom trips

Okay I am looking for tips, suggestions, anything!
My problem is I have to pee too much! I am 18w4d and I very overweight so I try to make sure I get enough water to keep the baby healthy and keep me from doing the boredom snacking thing. In addition to that I have always been a thirsty person who drinks a lot and I live in Southern California where the temps have been in the 90's. I do not know exactly how much water I drink in a day but I would guess that it is between 72-96 ounces a day. I wake two to three times a night (remember I am only 18wks) and sometimes when the need to go hits me I barely have time to make it to the bathroom because when I stand the baby is pushing down on my bladder and it is painful to walk! Today when I arrived at my son's school to pick him up I had to rush to the bathroom and an hour later I had to practically run into Walmart because I had to all of the sudden go again. Seriously that is too many rush trips for an hours time! I am starting to think that before this baby arrives I will find myself wearing adult diapers! And I will be exhausted from never getting a good nights sleep since I am already waking twice a night (and I go before bed!) Honestly, I am thankful this is the only problem I am having! I am enjoying my pregnancy now that I have passed my worry zone, but feeling like you are going to wet your pants is no fun! Has anyone gone through this? What did you do to help? I have had this problem totally. Even from about 15 weeks on. One time I went swimming and I swear every 3 minutes I had to pee for 45 minutes straight... and not just a little but A LOT. My daughter liked to lay on my bladder and it was extreamly painful. About a week ago maybe a little more, a think she moved up in my belly some because I have had some release from the preasure.. I know it wont last forever but I am taking comfort inthe repreave. I am down to peeing only 2-3 times a nite now instead of every hour or 2.... lol

Wish I knew some fix-all but I guess its just the way it is. When I stand up too OMG it hurts so bad b/c I can feel the babies shift right on my bladder.

i've been going thru this since week 16 and it hasn't stopped since then. people tell me that this is the time to sleep, but how can i if i wake 1-2 times a nite to pee?
what i can't stand is when u feel the baby really pressing down on u, u run to the bathroom only to get a trickle! peeing has become an obsession of mine, especially when i have to go out in public. i spend my time trying to locate the nearest bathroom!

i m up like 8 times a night to go to the bathroom. Two times would be a blessing. If you know your going to go out somewhere use the restroom prior to leaving and also just know where the restrooms are. When you gotta go you gotta go.

could it be a bladder infection or uti? id get it checked even though it is common in pregnancy. my son likes to kick my bladder like a ufc fighter- fun, fun. so while my urges aren't frequent, when he goes on a rampage so do i... to the bathroom.

Urination definitely increases in pregnancy. Is it worth getting checked for diabetes as I think it may also be a symptom of that and you can get gestational diabetes when pregnant even if you didn't have it before?
I suspect that pregnancy is just harder work for your body if you're overweight so lots of the symptoms are worse :( I know they tell you to diet before getting pregnant but they don't really say why. Nonetheless - staying hydrated is important so if you're peeing often then you're doing well :) In the UK I think it's legal for a pregnant woman to do a wee anywhere (some ancient law that was never repealed!) so it's well recognised that this is an issue in pregnancy :)

I have had this problem for my entire pregnancy! My average is about 3-4 times a night. I feel lucky if I can sleep 4 hours straight without having to go. And the pain when I do get up to go- ouch! I just say this is practice for waking up for nighttime feedings once baby is here. It's worse now though since baby is positioned head-down and all that weight seems to be resting directly on my bladder.
I read that when you're pregnant, your kidneys kick into overdrive to filter toxins and waste out of your body faster and keep them away from baby, so you'll have to pee whether you drink or not. Don't let yourself get dehydrated, it's not worth it. You can try Kegels and pantyliners to help with worrying about having accidents. I don't know how much it helps, but it might be worth a try. Hang in there- you are definitely not alone with this one!
