How many have taken the H1N1 vaccine?

Hello,

I have been debating whether to get the H1N1 vaccine. I am 9 wks pregnant. Before this year, I'd never taken a flu shot in my life.

My RE (whom I trust as he's been dead on with everything so far) said that I should get both, the seasonal and h1n1 and that both were safe, inspite of scares. He said there was an article in the Wired mag (which I haven't read), the gist of which is that it's safe.

I just got the seasonal shot last week. I'm supposed to get the h1n1 tonight (mercury free version), but after reading the previosu h1n1 posts on this forum, I'm having second thoughts.

Those who are against it - I'd love to know specifically why and any supporting links would be great.
Also, how many on this forum have taken it so far?

I have a few hrs to decide and I want to make an informed one!

Thanks!

" I had mine done this evening so will update with any side effects for you although I should imagine its pretty much the same as seasonal flu shot (achey arm etc)
Everything I have read has said that the risk of getting the disease and effects of that on mother and baby would be far worse than getting the shot

" I chose not to get this vaccine because it is to new to the market. I fear it was rushed into production and I am afraid of what we could learn about it in the futre. Although if I get the swine flu I will regret this choice! lol I hope it works out for me. "

" I got both me and my 2 year old daughter vaccinated. The risks of getting esp when pregnant are not worth it. We both had no side effects at all. No fever nothing. My daughter didnt even cry when she got hers! My arm was sore for a few days after but nothing serious. Im not willing to risk the life of my unborn child, as I do work in the health care field and my chances of getting the H1N1 is higher. "
