Hey ladies,
sorry for the TMI but I didnt know who else to ask. I am 25 weeks along and for the past week I feel like I have been kicked in my vagina! Im so confused. Hubby and I have only had sex once and the pain was from before that so I know its not from sex. It just feels swollen and sore (outside not the inside). Has anyone else experenced this or am I crazy???

" You are not crazy!!! Our hormones do sooo much to our bodies no one really realizes ALL the things our bodies go thru while prego! Im 29 weeks and for the past 2 or 3 months Ive had vaginal itching...Doc says its hormones, not much you can do about it! It only happens in the middle of the night when im trying to sleep but doc says it happens!
Hormones suck! "

" since i got pregnant i have no idea what is going on with my vaj-jay. itching and dryness were my biggest issues...that is until i found out that it was somewhat swollen. it's all about hormones. just realize that your vagina as u used to know it is over as long as u r preggers!!! "

" Possibly also worth doing a thrush treatment as that's more common in pregnancy... "

" I know mine sure hurts. I also get this feeling that seems to radiate down my parts. Sometimes it feels like I have a foot or a fist in my parts and omg it hurts. I do know that I have had the starts of a yeastinfection due to antibiotics use and since I am still on the antibiotics I havent used a treatment yet. "

" I am 31 weeks and I have been dealing with the pubic bone pain for about a month now. Pubic bone sits right in the lower vagina area and gets loosened by the relaxin.
Good Lord the pain!
But only when walking, sitting, standing, moving or trying to roll over in bed in the few hours I am able to sleep at night.
For me it is sharp and shooting and causing my waddle.
Tylenol actually works pretty well. "

" Sounds normal to me.. all of it. I am 35 weeks now and I have been getting this awful shooting pain in my vagina. Sometimes if feels like it is tearing. Doc says it is normal. It never lasts more than 5 seconds, but it is enough to make me think I willl want an epidural come delivery time. "

" I had this as well. At first, it started out as vaginal pain (it even hurt to sit on hard surfaces for too long) but eventually progressed to painful pressure on my pubic bone where I could no longer sit or stand comfortably for an extended period of time. During pregnancy the labia does become swollen (don't know if you've ever read Jenny McCarthy's book about pregnancy, but she refers to this as the "blue twinkies" b/c it swells AND can turn a bluish/purple color....both totally normal) and can range from being just uncomfortable to very painful. If you're concerned, ask your doctor at your next check up....I'm sure he/she has heard that question many times :) "
