where do you plan on baby sleeping when baby comes home???

I plan on getting one of those protective sleeping beds that lay in your bed. It has a harder surface for the base so the matrise isnt to soft and then has 3 walls that are about the hight of baby maybe 6 or 8 inches. It keeps baby from rolling out of its area and you from rolling into it. I plan to do this because of my c section. I know it will be very hard to get up at night with out assistance and hubby is hard to wake and works so I try to let him get sleep. Not that I wont wake him if I need ihim.

I also plan to get a bassanet styloe travel bed to put next to my bed as well. I plan to have the baby sleep in my room til around 5 or 6 months most likely. Then I will move her to her crib in my daughters room. I dont want the baby waking my daughter if possible and I just perfer the bay closer to me at such a young age...

WHere will your little one sleep???

Of cource I also know that even the best of intention plans get side lined so Im open to anything

" I plan on my new baby sleeping in a craddle in my bedroom if he/she likes it. I tried to do that with Braeden but he hated It and wouldn't sleep in our room. We moved him to his crib and he slept much better. But hopefully the new baby will like the craddle and sleep in it :) "

" I plan on getting a pack n play. Im having twins and I want them to be together. I figure a bassinet would only work for so long but a pack n play could be used later as well. Cant wait to have them here with me and listening to all their sleep talk :). "

" i want to get a pack n play that has a bassanet in it. i really want one that also has a builtin changing table and I would really like the pack n play that also has the infant sleeping thing. Im having c section and I know I wont be able to bend over and pick the baby up if I use one of the pack n play that I already have. They are soooo deep. "

" I plan on the pack n play by my bed. I decided also not to spend the money on a basinet. Some of the pack n play’s I found had a changing area at one end with space to store diapers, powder and lotion. I thought that would be nice. "

" I am with everyone else, we are getting a pack n play with the bassinet, changing table and newborn napper. I am hoping that will work for about 6 month and then move the baby to a crib. "

" I am planning on using the pack and play with a bassinet attachment beside our bed. We have a memory foam topper on our bed so we won't be putting the baby in the bed with us for any reason because it's so soft. I am also very paranoid about having problems getting the baby to sleep out of our bed if we start out in it. "

" I have a bassinette and we will also get a pack and play. I plan on using the bassinette since it rocks and what not. I will use the pack and play for travel. "

" pack and play here too. the one with the bassinet attachment that raises the sleeping area up for a newborn. By no means will baby sleep with us. It's just too dangerous even with precautions. Three babies in our state have died in the past month from sleeping with their parents. The risk of SIDS is so much higher. I just learned in my birthing class that even having a bumper pad in your crib is unsafe! I was really surprised to learn how many items there are on the market that say they are safe and even say they prevent SID's are just marketing ploy's and really are not safe at all. Did you know you should not use the wedge things in the crib? Nothing but baby and a well fitting tight sheet should go in crib. "

" We have a family cradle that baby will start in, in our room for the first few months. BUT my oldest started in it and ended up in my bed and my youngest started in it and ended up in my bed! There are so many cultures where sharing a bed is the norm and I feel it is pretty natural... but, it is pretty hard to get that baby out!

My oldest did have time in his crib and in a toddler bed but he wasn't a good sleeper until he was about 3 1/2 with a big bed. He still came back to my bed from time to time and wasn't completely out for good until he was 4 1/2 and I was pregnant with #2.

My second was a breastfed baby and it was much easier to keep him in the bed. He went to the crib when I stopped nursing, but when I switched to the toddler bed he would get back in my bed. He is 6 1/2 now and would spend the whole night in my bed now if he could! He starts in his bed and always finds his way back to mine. It is so hard to sleep.

I am hoping that we will be able to teach this baby to sleep alone, but again I do feel that sleeping close to mom is natural. So, we'll see! "
