I'm three months post-partum, and I'm on my second period since the initial bleeding. My question: Why have I been on my period for almost 2 weeks? And when will my 3 day long periods come back?? [If ever?]
It's really bothersome, I can't even use tampons... Grrr.... I couldn't find a "post-partum" board, other than the post-partum depression one.. So I figured I'd ask here. Posted on 11/02/09, 12:11 am |

On the plus side, my periods have been 2weeks every month since I was 10!! :)
I do not know what is happening in your situation, but thought I would share the advice of my doc and the midwives. They all said the first post partum period (and even a couple more cycles...) is most likely going to be heavy, clotting, long and painful (I have endo, it is the same for a normal period of mine). They also said that your cycles can be quite irregular for several months, regardless of whether or not you breastfeed - although breastfeeding tends to increase the lack of menstruation. So hopefully, this is your one and only period like this!!!!! :)
