So today my co-worker brought in a guy who had the H1N1 Flu 36 hours ago into my office for a meeting with a whole bunch of other co-workers. As soon as he said he had it I got so scared. I left the meeting after 10 mint. Calling my doctor but do you guys think I could get infected even though it been 36 hours since he had it?

" From what I have read, the virus takes about 3 days to incubate. Give it another couple days. If you don't have any symptoms by then, I think you are good. Meanwhile, just push lots of fluids and try to rest. That guy shouldn't have come in. All of the kids I work with have been told to stay away from everyone for at least the first 7 days from the time they came down with it. Ugh, people just don't think of others sometime. Good luck!! I am a little panicked myself. Hopefully we will make it through healthy! "

" Usually, most people are contagious before the symptoms even start. If he's been fever free (unmedicated) for the past 24 hours, you should be fine. "

" We have people coming into work here who are sick and it baffles me that they're so cavalier about it- luckily, I was immunized against H1N1 but still! I just keep hand sanitizer in close proximity, drink plenty of water and rest whenever I feel I need to. And don't skip your prenatals!!! "

" Luckily the H1N1 isn't airborne. The only way to get it is if you touched his hands or something his hands touched then touched your nose/mouth/eyes etc. As long as you didn't really touch anything that he was near and just sanitize and wash your hands ALL the time. I am sure you are fine =) "
