i would def. say something to her about it. If it causes problems, just ask to switch. I have 3 midwives i rotate between, and one of them isnt mean or snooty, but she is just short and to the point, while the other 2 are AMAZiNG! i just hope the one that isnt all that personable is the one i get stuck delivering with!

if you aren't comfortable with your care provider......then switch. Plain and simple. You need to feel safe and able to converse easily with your doctors at all times!

I too reccomend you switch. You need to make this experience as positive as possible. You do not need more stress due to your midwife. Of course talking to her is an option but keep in mind that some personalities dont mix. She may be the one type of person you can not relate to. Do what makes you the most happy. Good luck :)

I would switch. It is so important to have a great relationship with your doc. You have to trust them and trust that they will trust you. It doesnt sound like you feel she will trust you if the time comes that she needs too. If my doc didnt trust me with my first child he would ahve been still born. Doctors dont know everything even when the signs say they do. My son is proof of that. The doctor said in his expert opinion that he was just fine and that he had slowed his moving because I was getting farther along. I knew better but could not explain why. He trusted me and did more tests and then delivered my very sick premie baby that day. Trust is key and if you dont feel this doctor would trust you despite what they think then change...

Honestly, if you don't like your midwife and she makes you feel stupid, I'd switch to someone else. Just because this is your first baby doesn't give her the right to treat you like that.
