Can't Stop the Tears.....

So I am aproximatly 5 weeks pregnant, maybe more or less. Sunday I had very bad cramping and went to the hospital to make sure all was ok, they did an interal exam and an internal ultra sound. They say the yolk sack in my uterus which rulled out ectopic pregnancy and advised I needed some blood work but they didnt think it was anything to worry about since I had no bleeding. Got home that night and started spotting. NOw the spotting was very very light and went away that same night and i have not had it since. I assumed it was due to the exam. I got more blood work Tuesday as a precaution but knew everything was ok because I felt better. Got the results yesterday and my HCG has gone down from 22,000 to 19,000. I was in tears all day yesterday and they can not tell me anything for ten more days when they will do another ultra sound to see if the baby has progressed any. I am at a loss, I am so scared and dont know what to do. I can not lose this baby, I tried so long to get pregnant. If something like this has happened to you and your baby was ok, please tell me! All I keep hearing is how this probaly means the pregancy will not make it. :(

" I have had two m/c and it is VERY hard. My DH and I tried for a year to convieve this baby after the last m/c, and had finally given up when we finally got our BFP. I havd some spotting and light bleedding in the first trimester with this pregnancy, but I'm 23wks along with a healthy baby girl now. I even had more spotting just last week. The doctors don't know what caused my spotting but everything looks great otherwise and baby is growing well. Keep hope lots of women spot in pregnancy, doctors aren't god and anyting is possible! "

" I am not as concerned about the spotting or cramping because it really wasnt bad and only lasted the one day, I am most concerned about the HCG levels, everyone (not my dr) keeps telling me I am going to miscarry, I cant lose this baby. "

" My understanding is you really can't rely on HCG levels. You really will not know anything till you do the ultra sound. You may be worring about nothing. take a deep breath Hope for the best put your feet up and drink lots of water. It is good that your not cramping bad and bleeding.
I don't know why people would tell you your going to miscarry. They don't know that. Don't listen to them your baby needs you to believe she is alive and to stay calm. You don't have to believe bad reports. Keep your head up. "

" I'm sorry you're going through this right now, but joy2sign is right....you can't necessarily rely on hCG numbers alone to determine if everything is okay. They vary SO much from woman to woman, and even though it dropped a little that isn't a sure-fire sign that you'll miscarry. Just try and relax as much as you can (I know that's hard to do right now) and keep doing everything you can to stay healthy for this baby. Good luck, I'll keep you in my prayers!!! *hugs* "
