Was wondering if anyone experienced this with a previous pregnancy and if there were any complications that resulted from having this? My doctor told me I have this but that it should resolve itself.

" How far are you? When I was 12 weeks I had some bleeding and he told me that my placenta was not in the right place. It was close to the cervic opening but not on top of it. After that he did not say anymore about it and I assume it moved up as the uterus and the baby grew. I go in tommorow and was going to make sure that it did move. I think if it doesn't move they will do a c-section, so you don't deliver the placenta first. "

" Yay! I don't think I knew you were pregnant! Congrats and lots of love!

P.S. If your dr said it should work itself out, then it probably will! Good Luck! "

" I just went through this. At my 19 week ultrasound, it was discovered I had a low lying/marginal placenta. I had 2 more sonograms (once a month) until it finally decided to move at 30 weeks. Watch for bleeding, and your doc may restrict your activities. Hang in there. From my understanding, unless it is a complete previa that is completely covering your cervix, there is a good chance it will move. Just relax. Don't stress, I did, and all it did was make me more worried than necessary. Be sure to talk to your doctor about your concerns. That is the best thing you can do. "
