I was just wondering if anyone out there had used or is considering to use mio nappies?
I've used ordinary disposable pampers for my first child and I still do, but this time round I'd like to use a cheaper option and more ( I can't think of the words) healthier way for our earth. lol I know that the first expense will be a great lump sum, but it will be worth it in the long run as I'll save money, in the fact that with £20 I cam probably get around 1,000 nappy changes than I can only get 88 with normal nappies. I have guessed this from research online(correct me if I'm wrong). The nappy covers are so cute also! Posted on 10/12/07, 06:10 pm |

I too am more enviromentally concious and even though I do use disposable diapers (they are too darn convienent) I use cloth diapers (sorry dont know what mio nappies are maybe its the same) around the house occasionally, after baths (and when I am pretty confident no number 2's are coming, its hard but...) My son had pretty sensitive skin and pampers were the only diapers that we could use on him, even sometimes the cloth diapers would give him butt burn. But it helped to have the cloth diapers around to give his bottom some air and protect him.. You can save a substantial amount of money with them, obviously help the enviroment out, and they say that because disposable diapers have amzing wetness protection that it makes potty training harder, where-as cloth diapers dont have the artifical absorbant in them your baby feels the wetness (which in turn helps them feel when they have to go)
Good luck, let me know how it all works out...

This is only my opinion, but I think you probably will spend a ton of money on water, electricity, gas to heat the water, detergent, and bleach to keep those clean. Using all that can't be good for the environment either.
