I was just wondering how many of you that are going to be pregnant this flu season are planning on getting a flu shot? My doctor wants me to get one because I'm a teacher and will be pregnant all of flu season. I'd like to get one as well but just don't want to jeopardize the baby in any way. What are you ladies planning on doing?

I am also a teacher and got both the seasonal flu shot and the H1N1 shot. I normally do not get flu shots but last season I was pretty sick with the flu and considering my high fever and vomiting, I figure there is a risk either way. My doctor told me that I was getting an "unactivated" form of the virus--I don't know if that makes any difference or not and also explained that there is a very low amount of mercury in the shots (less than found in safe types/amounts of fish)...
