Hi I'm new here. My daughter turned 3 in January and about that time we started noticing she had some acne. A couple months ago I noticed some pubic hair around her anus and a dark fuzz on her labia. She's always been very tall for her age, but my husband is 6'3" and I am 5'7" so I didn't really think much of it until she grew an inch in the last 3 months. She is in the 50th percentile on height and weight for a 5 year old. I took her to her pedi because I was concerned about PP. He seemed to brush off my concerns, but he did a bone age x-ray and I was told the results were "normal, but borderline" and to have her come in again in about 6-9 months. I managed to wait about 2 weeks before deciding to call a pedi endo to have her checked out. She will be going in next month. She has not been diagnosed with PP yet, but I think she has it. I have no idea what to expect at that apptointment. I have no clue what to tell her about why we're going to the doctor. I know that this can be treated or slowed down or whatever, but I worry about how to explain things to her in a way she will understand without making her uncomfortable or self-conscious. Now I'm also worried her baby sister (6 months old) will have this too. And until today I had not read anything on Lupron, which has now added to my worries. Can anyone give me an idea of how much that stuff costs? Any helpful words are welcome.

" Hi, My daughter is now 5 years old. We found out that she had CPP 2 years ago. Just because she might have it, that don't mean that your other children will have it. My 15 year old son is fine. How we found out was I took her in for a yearly check up. We always knew that she had breasts but at first we waited to see if they were milky breasts. So then we took her to endo doc. and she had to have then bone density test done, blood work, MRI, ultra sound of the ovaries. And not to scare you but when she had her MRI done that is when we found out she had Haratoma of the tuber cinereum which is the cause of her having CPP. But she has I guess the best tumor they can imagin. Because it's not attached to anything , not causing cesures, and so far not growing. But when you do take her that is what they will do. MRI,X-ray of the hand, blood work. It will be a long and trying time for you and your family but if you ever need someone to talk to I'm here. And also my way of telling my daughter about all the testing and doctors and plus her injection every 21 days I told her that she is growing way to fast then we want. And that this is what going to help her not to grow so fast. And so far it's working. One thing she did ask me is that to warn her of what is going to happen, so I tell her the day before because she gets her self all worked up. The cost of things I don't know. All we have to do is pay our co-payments thats it. Our health insurance covers everything so far. I hope this helps. Like I said, if you ever need anyone to talk to I'm here. Your daughter is in my prayers. "
