Is it normal to still have menses?

My 14mo daughter had her 1st Lupron jab on 8 Jan. Before this, she had 3 episodes of menses and the last cycle started on 23 Dec. After the jab, she still had menses on 22 Jan. Not sure if this is normal? or is the jab not working? anybody can advise? thx

Hi JJJMUM,
I would ask your doc. My daughter has not yet had hers however, our doc told us that within the first 6 weeks she could either start or continue spotting for a bit but it usually tapers off & stops. If it doesn't they would consider uping the dosage of the injection. She had 6 months of injections and received the Supprelin implant Dec 08. Its by far been the BEST choice for us. Definitely talk to the doctor! Have they tested her hormone levels since therapy started?
