Hi all. I'm very much considering a hormone patch or bio-hormone therapy. Has anyone gone to this extreme? What are the results?

" Have you ever seen the crazy woman in the street who is so mad that she is screaming at the top of her lungs and then bursts into tears. Well chances are if you ask anyone in my town they would tell you that was me. Since I first had my period 18 years ago I have been like that for 2 weeks a month. Then I would be the opposite and way to happy. Long story short my PMS was so bad I was put on antidepressants, the pill, I got diagnosed with bi polar and put on 12 different meds. Then one doctor heard about me and although she wasn't taking new clients she took me in. Because of all the meds I gained 80 pounds and was miserable, I started charting my cycle and tracking my period. It was unbelievably heavy (why they put me on the pill at the age of 11) and I had 2 days at the end where it was just kind of brown. She had me in for blood tests long story short again. I am low in progesterone in fact I produce almost none. After an 18 year battle I take progesterone for 7 days a month and I am off all the other meds. I am slowly loosing weight and have had no more PMS since I have started taking it. I am no longer the crazy woman. I can't say enough about bio hormone therapy. I have also watched my mother and heard about my great grandmother go through the same things as me and I have a daughter. I was bound and determined to be the last in my family to go through this PMS hell thanks to the bio hormone I think I will be the last one. My advise get a good doctor and work with them to find the right combo for you and when the right time of the month to take it is. "
