I have been having really bad headaches a few days before I start. I take up to 6 advils a day to get rid of the headache and it doesn't work.
What does everyone else do for headaches.

" I get like a migraine and I don't eat anything cold, crawl up in bed and pull the shades down. Generally the advil has worked and this time around I am also taking anti-anxiety meds which doesn't stress me out as much. "

" ME TOO. The only thing that works for me is Excedrin Migraine - although lately even that has not been cutting it. "

" I think the best to do would be as jude42... Instead of migraine pills I take a regular acetaminophen pill along with half a cup of coffee, crawl into bed with earplugs and an eyemask to block absoultey all light/sound out. To ignore the headache just ain't helping a bit. When the attack is gone, at least I am helped with some stretching of the neck and back muscles. Might not work for others but half a cup of caffeine doesn't harm, neither does stretching :-p "

" Also, if I feel it coming on, I'll try the frozen bag of peas first. Sounds like it doesn't seem helpful, but that cold on that headache works wonders. "

" I mentioned my bouts of headaches for the doc on our EMS-team. His wife had much of the same problems - and she'd tried with Copper-supplements. I'm going to try that but it might still take a while. It's not like I know exactly where to get copper-supplements. To cut down on painkillers as much as possible helps the liver work better. The body is sooo complex but it's just a load of organs working in sync :) "

" I get migraines which I think are associated with hormones but i only get them once every 3-4 months. Excedrine has helped to cut the pain and nausea but i walk around in a fog for a day or two after. "
