My period is worrying me this month

I've always had problems with PMDD but when my period starts it's normal.
This month, my period is a lot different than ever. It's very brown and there is a lot of clotting (almost all solid). It also came a day or so later than normal. I'm not sexually active at the moment, so it's nothing like pregnancy or an STD. There is a lot of burning and discomfort, too. I don't use tampons, I only use pads.
