" I get that too. That is when I start writing. I sometimes amaze myself with what I write...sometimes it's even a better connection to my brain than my mouth is.

Maybe the brain shuts off one route of communication so that we can use an even better one. Try it. You might find you have even more to say in writing.

" I am having a hard time not envying the problem. My brain shuts off, also, but my mouth keeps right on going. Girl, howdy, I can say some stupid stuff at those times.

Sorry... "

" Yes, it's completely normal. A lot of the time people have no idea I'm in a flashback because I sit there stone cold and silent. I've wanted to learn sign language to see if I could express myself that way. My sister knows it, but I don't really care if nobody else does. It would be a way for me to get things out (I don't like writing as its like an avalanche of negative thoughts more often than not). Odd, I know, but I'm running out of ways to express myself when triggered! "

" I also have the same feeling whenever i am over stressed i dont like to speak. But guess what i think if we keep quite we let the worries overcome us. So i think we should force ourselves to speak to our friends and family. I know it is difficult but I am trying to do this. Hope this works.
I think its better to just spit whatever comes to your mind. "
