For the last few weeks I'm always sore. Hands feel tight at the knuckles like they need to be cracked, back aches, knee's kill and neck always sore. I'm ALWAYS tired and when it gets cold or it rains my body starts killing me. I was telling a friend about it and she said I sound like her aunt right before she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia(sp?). Does anyone know anything about this? What do I do? Does it sound like I could have it? Any advice I'd appreciate! Thanks and take care!!!!!!

Hi Lisa!
I don't know very much about fybroma'bla'bla, but would definitely suggest that you have a doc take a lookat'cha--just to be sure. I often have tense muscles...especially in the back and shoulder, where I carry most of my stress--but that's the PTSD (and the hackles). What I'm suggesting is that some of these symptoms could be your PTSD (unless you did not experience them previously). Don't imagine that being locked outside in the snow, stocking-foot by one's lovely has anything to do with sore limbs? I'm still bitter about that (Glare). Being tired often could also be part of your PTSD. I think it's always best to address such concerns, if ever in doubt, with your docs. They're the best ones to tell you for certain. Hope you are doing well, BTW. It's good to see you again! : ) PS, You could always throw lovely out in the snow in his stockings to see iffin' that helps. (Snicker)

I had similar symptoms for a years and chalked it all up to the PTSD and depression because it can have physical effects on the body. But one day at a regular doctor visit, I mentioned the symptoms to the doc who decided to do some tests, and I was shocked to find out that it really was a physical illness. So I would definitely encourage you to get checked out by a doctor to rule out other things.
PTSD can cause body tension, aches and pains, and fatigue, but since yours is affected by the weather, it sound like there may be something physical going on too. Sometimes PTSD can trigger fibromyalgia or other physical illnesses. Good luck, I hope nothing is wrong, but if it is, you need to know so it can be treated properly.
