I am a Theraputic Support Staff who works with children, many of whom have PTSD. In addition I have PTSD among other things, and am a survivor of sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence, rape, etc. I purchased this book thinking it may help me to work better with the kids and found it explained and helped me to understand myself much better as well. It also has a lot of activities and things a parent, therapist, minister, counselor, etc. can do to help kids deal with Trauma both past and present. I'd recommend it to all parents, child care workers, medical professionals, rescue workers,and survivors as a MUST read.
