I've known that i've had pcos for 3 years now but i haven't really looked anything up about it until recently maybe a couple months ago when i thought that i might have been pregnant because of a missed period and i was getting really depressed about it crying all day and everything.. Doctors have never really told me anything about it just gave me birthcontrol and sent me on my way. I went to a new doctor last month and she confirmed that i have it, also insulin levels are high, pancreas isn't working right, high testosterone levels, etc.. she gave me Metformin and told me to continue on the birthcontrol to regulate my periods. She talked to me about it a little more and helped me understand what it is kind of. Has any one else been depressed about it? and what exactly is Metformin for?
