is there anything you guys can suggest I could do that may help myself. I mean I am taking the medications the doctor gives me and no luck so maybe I am not doing enough.
Are there certain foods I should eat more of and certain foods I should stay away from? Is it ok to drink caffinee or does this make your cysts worse Also I still havent started a period so it seems the provera isnt going to do any good for me. I read online drinking green tea can help you start have you heard of this or anything else thanks! Posted on 11/03/09, 08:11 pm |

k so are you trying to concieve or just manage your PCOS? either way this might b a good question for your doctor. For PCOS i know that docs usualy prescribe metformin, if you are trying to regulate your cycle I have heard that docs will put women on bc pills, and if you are trying to get pregnant there is clomid that a doc can prescribe. I hope I helped alittle at least. Good luck with it all!

Have your spoken to your doctor about thyroid dysfuntion? There is accumulating evidence that women with PCOS tend to have thyroid problems. If your thyroid is not working properly, you are less
likely to have a normal cycle thus less likely to become pregnant. Regarding hormone levels, have you had any hormonal blood work done? If you have high levels of testosterone this might also have an impact. If yes, have a read here, inositol might help you ovulate: http://www.ovarian-cysts-pcos.com/... I hope this was helpful, best of luck :)

I'm in a similar situation. I just picked up my Provera/Clomid today. I've read the avoiding dairy and carbs can help and/or weight loss, but from your picture it doesn't really look like you need to lose weight. I'd go back to your doctor.

I have had my thyroid tested and everything is normal. Also they said my blood work is fine. My symptoms are pain, pain, more pain and irregular cycles and cysts on my ovaries. I am at a healthy weight. I am 5'4" and weigh around 120. I just dont know what else to do. I have been reading about trying acupuncture and a chiropractor I am considering this as everything else is failing.
I have been taking metformin for 3 years this seems to do nothing for me. I take 1000mg a day
