" This is what My doctor has said to me as well, "not to worry about it, until I am trying to concieve" but it doesnt stop me from worrying about it, or hanging on it. I do have it, because of the scan, birth control pills did not shrink any of my cyst and she did see it through surgery as well. You should ask for Hormonal blood work (this is different than routine bloodwork) "

" A simple internal ultrasound can show cysts on the ovaries or not and all the other syptoms are a contributing factor. My doctor looks at me and said u have pcos but we will do an ultrasound to confirm it. PCOS should be treated even if you are not trying to conceive cause it can get worse and it can cause more health problems. I am living proof of that! "

" From my own experience, when I had my first ultrasound they found multiple small cysts on my ovaries and I am on the pill already.

You definitely need to get a scan done, if it comes back normal you should do the hormonal blood work suggested earlier or even the laparoscopy. It is normal to have multiple cysts as a PCOS patient but it is not an actual requirement.

Insist on an ultrasound hon, you need to have your PCOS treated no matter what the symptoms are. I am not trying to conceive but have been through scans, hormone blood work and will do the laparocopy if my pains do not go away, so if your doc is not being helpful I think you should find someone that will take your condition seriously... " il try again, it was the best doctor i seen in my area, shes really good..agreed to keep me on the pill i am currently on cos its working okay for me just now.

Ive not had hormonal blood works done then, just regular things to try and find out why i was ill.

Ive had lap and it showed my ovaries were fine, apparently if there was cysts they cud see through this? "

" cysts are not always visible on an internal ultrasound, none showed up on mine in '05, but I have since been told that I have PCOS. "
